Two Sisters, One Mindful Vision

The Diamond Lab began in the Wonder Room at Selfridges

But it wasn’t just a launch, it was a space to educate and bring lab-grown into its own light. To have real conversations. to answer questions with transparency. To sit with clients and explain how diamonds are formed, how they differ and why they belong within fine jewellery.

Long before that, there were button rings and gem stone craft kits scattered across the kitchen table. We spent hours taking things apart and putting them back together, threading beads, sketching designs, experimenting with whatever we could get our hands on. We were fascinated by how materials worked, how light moved through them and how things so small could carry such sentimental weight and meaning.

Jamie built her career within fine jewellery, consulting for established luxury houses and working closely with private clients. Before founding The Diamond Lab, she ran her own luxury business, developing a discerning clientele and a deep understanding of what clients expect at the highest level.

Ruby’s background in science and education shaped a deeper curiosity about how things are formed and understood, a perspective that quietly informs the creativity behind the brand.

We founded The Diamond Lab with a clear intention: to create a jewellery house where lab-grown diamonds belong naturally within fine jewellery - inspired by nature and shaped through science. No compromise. Just thoughtful design, rare stones and a personal experience - an art form we felt has been lost within the modern luxury landscape.

From Selfridges, we moved into our permanent home on New Bond Street. Along the way, we’ve hosted select pop-ups, including Bicester Village - meeting clients in different spaces while continuing to grow with our vision.

Wherever we are, we’re present. You’ll often find us in-store, greeting clients, making cups of tea, creating floral displays or resetting trays between appointments, we often gel into our landscape. We’re involved in the details because we genuinely love what we do, and because being part of those moments matters to us.

At its core, The Diamond Lab is still about curiosity.

About understanding before purchasing — but mostly about choosing pieces you truly connect with.

And in many ways, it is still two sisters at a table — just with better tools.
